A Black therapist who understands where he is coming from. Someone who listens, relates, and helps him move forward. He deserves more than a court case. And moms deserve the support, too.
What We’re Building in Rockford
In Rockford, we are focused on creating real access to care and building strong partnerships that families can rely on.
GRO Community is:
- Providing therapy and trauma support for Black and Brown boys and men impacted by violence, incarceration, or systemic barriers
- Growing a team of therapists and staff who reflect the community and understand its struggles
- Partnering with local schools, grassroots leaders, and community organizations to strengthen the safety net for families
- Preparing to launch psychiatric services to support youth and adults navigating depression, anxiety, sleep issues, and other challenges
- Every boy deserves to feel heard. Every man deserves a chance to heal. GRO is here to help make that possible in Rockford.
